There has been some hopeful news regarding Salaar 2, the sequel to the acclaimed Tollywood epic, Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire, that will make fans of the film excited. The 2023 Indian movie was a huge box office success, earning over $100 million and breaking a global box office record. Salaar: Part 1 - Ceasefire stars Prabhas as the titular Salaar. Set in the near-future, dystopian city-state of Khansaar, Salaar (who goes by Deva) teams up with his friend, Varadha (Prithviraj Sukumaran), to ensure Varadha's throne is secured against sinister forces.
This epic Tollywood tale takes place across centuries, depicting events in the present, all the way back to the 12th century. Salaar: Part 1 - Ceasefire opened to a warm reception, with reviews noting the world-building, lead performances, and incredible action sequences as high points. The end of the film, as well as the title itself, always promised a sequel film and the producers of Salaar were quick to say that another movie was in the works. There has not been much released about Salaar 2 but what is known can be found below.

Salaar 2 Has Begun Filming
On August 10, 2024, it was announced that Prabhas would begin filming for Salaar 2 (via IndiaToday). Prashanth Neel is still on as director, and the set from Salaar: Part 1 - Ceasefire is being reused.

Salaar 2 Was Confirmed In January 2024
Salaar 2 was confirmed soon after Salaar: Part 1 - Ceasefire aired in December 2023. The producer, Vijay Kiragandur, announced that Salaar 2 had already been written, saying (via DNAIndia),
"The script of Salaar 2 is ready and we will start the film any time. Prabhas wants to take it on floors as soon as possible and even Prashanth wants to do it. We have been speaking about Salaar 2 and our discussion in the last two to three days was to make the film in the next 15 months. We will definitely release Salaar 2 in 2025, which is about 18 months from now."
From the sound of it, Salaar 2 is already past the planning stage and just needs to be filmed and edited. As far as the producers are concerned, there was never any doubt that Salaar 2 would go into production.

Producer Vijay Kiragandur did give some insight into what should be expected for Salaar 2. He said,
"Salaar 1 is just a glimpse of part two. You can treat it as a trailer and part two will be a lot bigger in terms of action and scale. Prashanth introduced all the characters in the first part and now, Salaar 2 will be like Game of Thrones with a lot of drama, politics, and action. The cliffhanger you have seen now – there will be many more in the sequels."

Each and Every Character in the film plays a pivotal role in the story of KHANSAAR.. Vardha Raja Mannar (Prithvi Raj Sukumaran) Simply Superb 💯 especially in emotions scenes with Prabhas and a bit of comedy at climax was hilarious 😆.
Shruti Hasan has an important role which begins the story. Eswari Rao who played as Mother looking like Solid Character and Jagapati Babu , Sriya Reddy , Bobby Simha all the Artists did their justice towards their roles👏
As we all are familiar with the direction and Screenplay of Prashant Neel who got immense success from the KGF Series conveyed a good Story of KHANSAAR and Action Scenes were really Superb 💯.
Overall the Movie with Lot of twists and Surprises planned by Director. We have seen Trailer small bit of whole movie but there is lot of stuff in the Movie especially for Prabhas Fans.
Experience only in Theatre for visual spectacle feast..💯.
